Turin joined the SINERGI network of twinned cities, helping to shape conversations around urban growth and social integration alongside fellow partners. The city played host to gatherings that brought together civic organizations, universities, and partner municipalities, creating space for shared learning and joint development. As part of this international exchange, Turin contributed its experience with neighborhood regeneration and inclusive participation, offering practical perspectives on how cities can balance social cohesion with urban transformation. These exchanges supported the broader aim of establishing a network where knowledge, experience, and practices move fluidly between cities, citizens, and researchers working on shared urban challenges together.
Within the SINERGI project, Turin served as a venue for key project activities, including a kick-off meeting and a thematic workshop that brought together partners from across the network. These events gathered city administrative representatives, students, teachers, and NGOs in formats designed to encourage open dialogue and structured cooperation. Turin’s involvement reflected the project’s emphasis on participation, integration, and the design of inclusive urban strategies that address both growth and social concerns. By hosting these encounters, the city reinforced the value of twinning as a method for enabling collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the long-term strengthening of civic and academic partnerships across European cities.
