About SINERGI

A network of twinned cities building shared knowledge on social integration through urban growth strategies.

The Project

SINERGI — Social Integration through Urban Growth Strategies — brought together partner cities, universities and civic organizations to learn from one another and to improve social integration through joint urban planning.

The initiative operated as part of the Europe for Citizens Programme 2007–2013, framing urban growth as a tool for cohesion rather than division.

  • Exchange of knowledge, experience and good practices between partner cities.
  • Joint development of urban growth strategies rooted in social integration.
  • Cooperation among city offices, universities and civic organizations.
A dark, low-key graphic composition of layered architectural lines and shadowed silhouettes, rendered in deep charcoal and muted red, suggesting overlapping city plans and inclusive urban analysis.
